The good news is, we can definitely keep the “The”

I think we have a runaway winner in the 2009 “Brand That Had The Most Difficult Month” sweepstakes. (Some interesting background from the Financial Times.)

The good news is, we can definitely keep the “The”

  1. At least it wasn't "The Tiger Woods Climate-Science Dubai by Ian Davey." Dodged a bullet there.

    • I'm pretty sure you just accidentally named the next Fall studio album.

  2. "Brought to you by… The Nobel Anticipatory Peace Prize… The Canadian Federal Coalition With Separatists… and by the Balloon Boy Family…"

  3. All they need to do is merge with Ashley-Madison, and everything will work out fine. (I should be charging for this kind of genius…)

  4. Colby had a really good reply to my comment and Intense Debate ate it. This really is the most annoying software in the world.

    • Readers want to know, what was Colby's comment?

      It happens often, it says at top 6 comments or whatever but only 4 or 5 appear. I have convinced myself the lost comments contain wisdom beyond measure and I have not been invited into select group that is allowed to read them.

      • You can see Colby's missing comment on the RSS Feed. His reply to Paul's first comment:

        "I'm pretty sure you just accidentally named the next Fall studio album."

      • 'I have convinced myself the lost comments contain wisdom beyond measure and I have not been invited into select group that is allowed to read them"

        God's redaction system. Enlightenment's meant to be hard you know.

        • "God's redaction system. Enlightenment's meant to be hard you know."

          lol. I agree. It is just frustrating to know the wisdom is so close, yet so far.

    • I was thinking of upgrading to thumbs, but I don't want to be any more opposable.

    • This really is the most annoying software in the world.
      Browser pop-ups;
      Palm OS;
      Windows 98/ME;
      "Installation will take a couple of minutes: Please stand by…";
      "Download 98.5% complete… Error during Download… Download Fail… Try again?";
      "Keyboard not found. Press any key to continue…"

  5. It's a sad day for golf in the Gulf.

  6. Perhaps they'll rename it the "Phil Mickelson Dubai"?

    • That would only fix half of the problem. Perhaps `"Phil Mickelson Abu Dhabi North"?

  7. This goes to show that Woods has played this completely wrong. He should have embraced the Sheik-harem thing.

  8. Khaleej Times Online – First Gulf Cup Twenty20 Cricket Tournament …
    DUBAI — In a bid to spread interest of cricket among nationals, the UAE Nationals Cricket Club will organise the first Gulf Cup Cricket Tournament in Dubai. …

    Ah well Dubai does have other irons in the fire…cricket…now that's a real sport.

  9. I don’t know, Nike’s new ‘Hit it like Tiger’ campaign may need to be rejigged.
