Outside Ukraine, nobody in Europe is more preoccupied with events in Ukraine’s eastern regions than Radoslaw Sikorski, Poland’s foreign minister. A former foreign correspondent who is married to the Washington Post columnist Anne Applebaum, Sikorski is one of the most popular politicians in Poland and a frequent lecturer in other Western capitals. He spoke to Maclean’s on Thursday about Poland’s hopes for better relations with Russia—and about opportunities for Canada in the ongoing crisis.
