What I did last summer

Back in July, I travelled to Montreal to take in the American Society of Civil Engineers National Concrete Canoe Competition.

A few years ago, an engineering friend told me about this sport; Concrete Canoing. I called him a liar; concrete doesn’t float.

Turns out it does.

You can check out my coverage of the Concrete Canoe championships and see our exclusive photo gallery of the event here:

  1. Pfft. A concrete canoe. What’s much more fun is to build a 500 pound concrete -tobbagan-, load it with 5 burly fellas and race it down a ski slope at 40km/h. At least, that’s what we do in Canada… (http://umgnctr.com/)
