100% high-speed internet in rural areas


 

As part of their “Rural Canada Matters” strategy, the Liberals have promised 100% high-speed broadband internet access in rural Canada within three years.

  1. I sure hope they aren't counting on my rural broadband supplier. It sells me service advertised at 1.5 Gbps and delivers me at less than half that speed the majority of the time. When I question them on it, I am referred to a "fair use" policy that blathers on about nothing related to the fact that even in off peak hours they have never delivered me 1.5 Gbps. Finding alternatives is impossible. My municipality supports this company financially and does not respond to complaints.
