A-Rod hurt by housing crash

Yankee slugger slashes $2 million from the asking price of his mansion

Like New York Yankees’ fans, the real estate market hasn’t been kind to Alex Rodriguez. The star third baseman has dropped the price of his 8,300-square-foot mansion in Miami from $14.9-million to $12.3-million after watching sit on the market since the fall. The new price is only a hair more than the $12-million Rodriguez and his now-estranged wife Cynthia paid for the place in 2004. A-Rod has also had to chop $4-million off the asking price of his Manhattan apartment-it’s now going for a bargain-basement price of $10-million.
