Accused to be charged with murder in Hamilton, Ont., test drive death

HAMILTON – A Toronto man is to be charged this morning with first-degree murder in the death of a southern Ontario father who never returned after taking two men for a test drive.

Police made the sad announcement yesterday that the badly burned remains of 32-year-old Tim Bosma had been found in Waterloo Region, about 50 kilometres away from his Hamilton-area home.

They say Bosma went on a test drive last week with two men after they contacted him about his pickup truck, which he’d posted for sale on the Internet.

On Friday 27-year-old Dellen Millard was arrested and charged with forcible confinement and theft over $5,000.

With the discovery of Bosma’s remains Millard, who at 14 became the youngest Canadian to fly solo in both an airplane and a helicopter, is also being charged with murder.

Police are still looking for a second man they say went along for the test drive of Bosma’s 2007 Dodge Ram pickup, and at least one more suspect who followed behind the truck.
