As part of International Women’s Week, Minister of International Cooperation Bev Oda announced $5 million to help Afghan women. Here is Oda with Khorshied Samad, the wife of the Afghan ambassador to Canada.

The government is also going to match dollar-for-dollar the efforts of 11-year-old Alaina Podmorow who started Little Women For Little Women in Afghanistan and raised $30,000 so far to help Afghan teachers.
