Canadians are the most tolerant people in the developed world: report

We’re also terrific readers and we don’t have a lot of babies, compared with OECD countries

According to a new report, Canadians are the most tolerant in the developed world. We’re also a literate bunch, who enjoy more “positive experiences” than everyone except Icelanders, and who don’t procreate as much as other countries. These conclusions come care of the latest edition of ‘Society at a Glance’, an analysis of social and economic indicators among the 34 OECD nations. A summary of the Canada-specific findings said: “At 84 per cent on average, Canadians report the highest community tolerance of minority groups—ethnic minorities, migrants, and gays and lesbians—in the OECD, where the average is 61 per cent.”
