Don’t blame the weatherman …

Coming soon — actually, tonight! — to a CityTV evening newscast near you:

Background, courtesy of CityTV political correspondent Richard Madan (who is also responsible for the photo above): “Dion is selling his carbon tax across Canada.  I asked him how pollution affects our very lives, he said the weather. So, I got him to do a practice weather forecast.” Check out how well he did tonight on CityNews at 5 and 6pm in Toronto, and 7pm across the rest of the country.

Don’t blame the weatherman …

  1. So cool!!!

  2. This i have to see…

  3. Are you going to liveblog it? (Desperate times call for desperate measures.)

Any luck on finding a way to live-live-blog?

  4. That would definitely set records for the world’s shortest liveblog. As for the technology, I’m experimenting with a few different kludges, but I’m not going to make the switch until I know it will work, since it’s not like you can put reality on pause if it crashes midway through. Also, OperaMini needs to learn to work with WordPress, or WordPress needs to learn to work with mobile browsers. I don’t care who is right and who is wrong, I just want them to work this out.

  5. Why do I suspect Stephen Harper doesn’t have enough of a sense of humour to ever do anything like this?

  6. That looks like a lot of fun. I’ll actually have to watch CityNews for once.

  7. I just want to add that I’m in love with the tag “Not A Weatherman”

  8. M: Stephane, we didn’t predict the rain. We didn’t predict the rain!

S: Do you think it’s easy to forecast the weather?
