Glee star Lea Michele Sarfati breaks her silence after Cory Monteith’s death

Glee star Lea Michele Sarfati has used Twitter to break her silence after her on- and off-screen boyfriend Cory Monteith’s death.

Monteith was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room on July 13. An autopsy later confirmed that he had died of a combined heroin and alcohol overdose.

Sarfati, who played Rachel Berry on the hit television program Glee alongside Monteith, thanked her fans for their support on Monday.

Monteith was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room on July 13. An autopsy later confirmed that he had died of a combined heroin and alcohol overdose.

Sarfati, who played Rachel Berry on the hit television program Glee alongside Monteith, thanked her fans for their support on Monday.

Monteith, 31, was raised in Victoria, B.C. and lived in Vancouver where he worked as an actor and waiter before earning the role as quarterback Finn Hudson on Glee.

Monteith spent the days before his death in Vancouver, working with his children’s theatre charity Project Limelight.
