Oh, to be back in 2005:

Bernanke: There’s No Housing Bubble to Go Bust

U.S. house prices have risen by nearly 25 percent over the past two years, noted Bernanke, currently chairman of the president’s Council of Economic Advisers, in testimony to Congress’s Joint Economic Committee. But these increases, he said, “largely reflect strong economic fundamentals,” such as strong growth in jobs, incomes and the number of new households.

  1. File that one next to Dow 36,000.

  2. Very timely, considering Bernanke’s performance in Sixty Minutes. Frankly, I don’t think he has a clue what he is doing, but he is confident about it.

  3. A man travels many miles to visit the wisest guru in the land. When he arrives he asks the wise man:
“Oh wise guru, what is the secret of a happy life”?
    “Good judgement” says the guru.
“But, oh wise guru, how do i achieve good judgement”?
    “Bad judgement,” says the guru!

    • LOL.

    • I’ll have to remember that one. I’m surprised I haven’t heard it before.
