AeroMexico hijacking ends peacefully

Plane passengers freed and suspects detained in Mexico City

The hijacking of an AeroMexico flight carrying 104 passengers has come to an end at Mexico City’s international airport. All passengers have reportedly been allowed to exit the plane and authorities have a number of suspects in custody. The hijackers had threatened to blow up the plane if they were not able to speak with Mexican President Felipe Calderon.
