India is on a nationwide terror alert following warnings that Pakistani terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba is planning an attack for New Year’s Day. Police have since Friday been searching for four suspects who are believed to have entered Mumbai to execute the attack. Extra security has been deployed across multiple cities in India. In some cities, including Mumbai, house-to-house searches are being conducted. Airway and railway stations are also under increased surveillance.
