Jack’s granddaughter takes a peek at the crowd

At midnight, Jack Layton’s granddaughter, Beatrice, not quite two years old, poked her face through the black curtain around the holding area from which, we’re told, the man himself will appear any minute to give his speech. She’s got the grin.
