Japan hit by another earthquake

A tsunami warning is issued following magnitude 7.4 quake

A tsunami warning has been issued in northeastern Japan after an earthquake of a 7.4 magnitude that struck 40 kilometres offshore, the BBC reports. People are being warned to move to high ground, according to Japanese television reports. The quake comes not long after the area was destroyed by last month’s earthquake and tsunami, which damaged the Fukushima nuclear plant. The tsunami is predicted to create a wave one metre high.
