Last night’s BAFTA winners—and best- and worst-dressed
Kate Winslet managed to keep her tears in check during her acceptance speech for her best actress award for her performance in The Reader at last night’s BAFTA awards in London, reports the Guardian. Obviously having learned from her much-mocked Golden Globe acceptance speech during which she appeared close to hyperventilating, Winslet was calm and gracious. “To be given this award at home, this really means a great deal to me. Thank you, BAFTA, thank you,” she said.
