The track has been cleared in Kumaritashvili’s death, but organizers still made changes
A higher wall has been erected at the site of Nodar Kumaritashvili’s crash, and the men will now start their luge run at the women’s start—but the event will go on despite Friday’s tragedy. Olympic organizers and the International Luge Federation (F.I.L.) issued a statement saying the track wasn’t the cause of Kumaritashvili’s death, that it was driver error.
