Man arrested in terror sweep gets bail

Awso Peshdary is facing unrelated domestic assault charges

The fourth suspect arrested in the midst of a high-profile sweep of an alleged Ottawa-based terror cell has been released on bail. Awso Peshdary, 20, was arrested August 27 on unrelated domestic assault charges. Though Peshdary is among those being investigated in connection with the alleged bomb plot, Crown attorneys now say there are no additional charges against him on the way. Peshdary’s lawyer, Richard Morris, has repeatedly questioned police attempts to link his client to the terror investigation. “He has no idea what they are talking about,” Morris said. “He is like a deer in the headlights. He didn’t see this coming. He’s unaware of why it came and it’s his first experience with the criminal justice system and he was shocked and horrified by what happened to him.”

  1. "He is like a deer in the headlights. He didn't see this coming. He's unaware of why it came and it's his first experience with the criminal justice system and he was shocked and horrified by what happened to him.”
I can see how he is confused. In his country he would be shot for NOT completing the task. If completed, he would be a hero. Here he is JUST A CRIMINAL. What an insult!!?

  2. You never know, maybe his Superiors will see that he is punished for his failure…. Gosh, how sad !

  3. Whenever terrorists are caught they use 'Lawfare' against the civilized world, it's always the same thing – they have no idea what the police are talking about and their mommies tell the dupes in media that they're good boys.

  4. Close door finally for those kind scum and drop the uncontrolled immigration!!
