Plucky Britons can’t handle light dusting of snow

‘Up to’ 30 cm causes chaos on the eastern side of Britain

“The heaviest snowfall in 20 years has closed thousands of schools and caused transport chaos up the eastern side of Britain, with London and the surrounding areas the hardest hit.” The worst hit areas reported “up to” 30 centimetres of snow. Be brave, Britain. Be brave.

  1. Don’t be too hard on them. I lived in a small village in southern England in the last really big snowfall in the 80’s. Every little country lane filled up with snow, there was nowhere to plow or push it, and we were cut off from vehicular traffic for a week! Fortunately the local pub had just had a delivery, so we survived.
