Private spacecraft ‘Dragon’ reaches International Space Station

A manned capsule called “Dragon” from SpaceX, a private aerospace company, has safely arrived at the International Space Station, NASA has announced.

Dragon and its crew are now preparing to open the hatch as early as tomorrow morning to perform loading and unloading of cargo. This is the first time ever a private spacecraft has reached the ISS.

NASA has been streaming the whole event live. According to one commentator, the capsule didn’t encounter any issues as it is “a beautiful day in outer space today.”

  1. Hey Maclean’s/Gabriela, you might want to check your sources as the Dragon capsule is NOT a manned capsule at the moment. The Space Shuttle crew is planning on opening the hatch, not crew within the Dragon.

  2. Accurate journalism? What’s that?
