Rocky: The Musical, will preview next February with an official opening in March. It will be produced by Stallone, who helped write the original script for Rocky, which won the Academy Award for best film in 1976.

The German version of the musical featured some famous songs from the film’s original soundtrack, including Eye of the Tiger and the theme, Gonna Fly NowRocky: Das Musical received positive reviews upon its German opening.

Actors have not yet been chosen for the American version of Rocky, says Taylor.
