Secret Service investigating Obama effigy

Black doll hung from noose on main street of Georgia town

A recent incident in a small Georgia town is serving as painful reminder that, despite the election of the country’s first African-American president, racism is still alive and well. An effigy of President Barack Obama was found hanging by a noose on main street, in front of a sign that read “Plains, Georgia. Home of Jimmy Carter our 39th president.” The Secret Service is investigating the incident.
