Short film starring Maygan Sensenberger released online

Wife of Senator Rod Zimmer appears in Ottawa film festival submission

The short film starring Maygan Sensenberger, wife of Senator Rod Zimmer, has been released online.

Sensenberger, 23, spoke to Maclean’s in October about life with her 69-year-old husband, Zimmer. The two made headlines in August when Sensenberger was arrested after causing a disturbance on a flight from Ottawa to Saskatoon with her husband.

She later said the events on the flight had been “blown up” by media reports. “Yes, I did cause a disturbance and any wife would cause a disturbance if she thought her husband needed help,” she told Maclean’s.

Since the summer, Sensenberger has returned to the public eye in Ottawa, appearing in a fashion show and on CTV’s Power Play, where she said she was busy working on the short film about women taking over the world.

That film, First Ladies, was released at the DigiOne festival in Ottawa and has also been posted online.
