Apple founder continues battle with pancreatic cancer

A photo of Apple founder Steve Jobs has been leaked to press showing the 56-year-old technology mogul looking shockingly thin and frail as a friend escorts him into a car outside his California home. Jobs, who founded Apple out of his garage in 1976, stepped down as company CEO last week “because he felt he could no longer do the job to his high standards.” He has been battling a rare type of pancreatic cancer since 2003. Apple shares have suffered a 5 per cent drop since Jobs stepped down. However, recent news that he will stay on as company chairman has temporarily quelled market fears.
