Canadian officials are expected to travel to Berlin to take Magnotta into their custody in the near future.”

Magnotta is a suspect in the murder of Jun Lin, 33, a Concordia university student, and in the subsequent dismemberment of his body, parts of which were mailed to Conservative and Liberal party offices in Ottawa. He is also believed to have posted a video of the slaying to the Internet.

Magnotta, a self-proclaimed model and gay porn actor, has a large web imprint. He is believed responsible for kitten-killing videos, which led to an online campaign to find and prosecute him. He is also the subject of a long-standing rumour of a connection to Karla Homolka, which he is suspected of having concocted himself.
