Maclean’s Third Annual Parliamentarians of the Year awards packed Room 200 of the West Block on Parliament Hill.

Immigration Minister Jason Kenney won for MP of the Year, the first Conservative to win a Parliamentarian of the Year award.

Toronto Liberal MP Bob Rae won for Best Orator.

Halifax NDP MP Megan Leslie won for Rookie of the Year. She is the first woman to win a Parliamentarian of the Year award.

Peter Stoffer won for Most Collegial. He has won this award all three years it has been handed out.

Nova Scotia independent MP Bill Casey won for Best Represents Constituents. Casey, who recently resigned his seat, was expelled from the Conservative caucus two years ago for declining to support a budget he felt violated the Atlantic Accord.

Ontario Liberal MP Paul Szabo won for Hardest Working. He has won this award three years in a row.

Ontario NDP MP Joe Comartin won for Most Knowledgeable. He won this award last year.
