The masses love ‘Mall Cop’

In tough times, there’s a market for cheap, escapist, PG-rated comedies

Its success has not only made a movie star out of actor/writer Kevin James, it’s proven that in tough times, there’s an unexpected market for cheap, escapist, PG-rated comedies that parents can watch with their kids. Or it could just mean that the world always enjoys seeing a fat guy fall down a lot.
