The Queen remains in a London hospital after being admitted over the weekend with symptoms of gastroenteritis.

Though the Queen is expected to remain in hospital Monday, she is reported to be “in good spirits” and could be back at Buckingham Palace as soon as Tuesday, says The Telegraph.

This is the first time in a decade that the 86-year-old monarch has been admitted to hospital. The last time she was admitted was for knee surgery.

Kate, the duchess of Cambridge, was admitted to the same King Edward VII Hospital in London during the early days of her pregnancy in December.

During Kate’s hospital stay, media camped out to catch a glimpse of royal visitors. However, members of the Royal Family have not been spotted visiting Queen Elizabeth, who will be 87 next month. The Queen has told potential Royal visitors not to “inconvenience” staff at the hospital, a source tells The Telegraph.
