Iranian democratic dissident Kianoosh Sanjari, now in Washington D.C., recalls his time in Tehran’s infamous Even prison and fears what his friends who have been taken there following protests against Iran’s rigged presidential election are now suffering.

  1. Iran's methods of torture, which include amputation, make water-boarding look like a hallowe'en prank.

    It seems precariously strange that these astonishing human Rights abuses are never outwardly condemned by Toronto Star columnists Linda McQuaig, Thomas Walkon, Michelle Shepherd or Haroon Siddiqui. However when Washington is involved they have a feeding fenzie like turkey vultures feasting of the dead carcase of fresh road kill.

    I wonder why this is?
