Tour troubles mount as Justin Bieber cancels Portugal show

It was more bad news for Justin Bieber on his Europe tour Monday as the Canadian pop star announced he would cancel one of two shows scheduled for Portugal.

Bieber’s show Monday night in Lisbon will go ahead, but his Tuesday show will be cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances,” reports The Guardian. It speculates that those “circumstances” could be low ticket sales.

The decision to cancel the Lisbon show is the latest bump during what has been a rocky ride in Europe for Bieber.

On Friday, he collapsed on stage in London after experiencing shortness of breath and he had to take a break before finishing the concert. He was later taken to hospital for observation.

Earlier that week, he started a show in London nearly two hours late, leaving many of his pre-teen fans (and their parents) out way past their bedtime. Some even had to skip the show entirely in order to make the last train home.

He also learned that birthdays get progressively less exciting after age 18, tweeting “worst birthday” on the evening of on March 1, the day he turned 19.

Add to this what may or may not be a YouTube dance insult from ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez and maybe “worst birthday” was just the beginning of “worst week” for Bieber.
