Hip-hop superstar Usher votes, and he was also able to skip to the front of a long line to do so, in a move that angered some voters who were forced to wait.

According to a report from WSBTV, Usher was ushered past a line of waiting citizens in order to vote at a polling station in Roswell, Georgia on Tuesday.

“I take the voting process very seriously, and I was just taken aback that this was allowed to happen,” voter Alan Christian told the station.

Some citizens told the station they had been waiting up to 45 minutes when the star walked past.

County elections officials defended their actions, saying that it was better to get the star in and out quickly, rather than cause a distraction at the polling station.
