Ryan Lewis, 32, is believed to be the author of a Facebook account on which a number of graphic messages were posted, including one note which said: “We need more radical terrorists in the world. There’s an infestation of ignorance in North America which can only be treated with a little murder.” On July 24th, a message saying “That Colorado shit is gonna happen here soon,” was posted.

Lewis was arrested by North Vancouver RCMP Aug. 1, and was charged with threatening to cause death or bodily harm to the general public. He was released on bail the next day, and has not yet entered a plea.

After his arrest, Lewis told reporters that the posts were “stupid” and said he never intended to follow through with his threats.
