Virtual education better than the real thing?

Study identifies advantages of online learning

The U.S. Department of Education issued a strong endorsement for online learning Friday with a study that points to significant advantages over face-to-face instruction. Students who learn online spend more time on each task than those in classroom settings, the study found. While those who took all of their instruction online achieved better results than those who learned the old-fashioned way, the best model identified by the study was one that blended elements from both.
