Wedding bells ring in Ottawa as Liberal MP Mark Holland ties the knot

  1. How wonderful, and what a beautiful bride!

    • She reminds me of Rowena Morgan.

  2. How many marriages is this now?

    • His first.

      • Actually, it's his second

        • Actually it's his first. He lived common law with his first partner.

          • Actually, who cares – it's 2009.

All the best to them. She's certainly a very attractive woman.

          • Uh, no. They've been married. I know his son. He goes to my school. And he thinks the PS3 is better than the Xbox 360. Although he only owns the PS3.

            Nub.

          • No, thanks. Let’s set the record straight. This is the first marriage. My mother was a common law partner. Or whatever you call the situation. And I prefer the computer, thank you very much. :3

    • his second and she is the girl he cheated on his first wife with……

      • First, who he met several months after. But that’s besides the point, right? Whatever you want to think, buddy.

  3. It must get lonely, at times, in Ottawa.

  4. Macleans, you need to hire a photographer or at least send someone with a grasp of composition and the skill to take indoors photos. If a photographer took these, they should find another occupation. If a writer is assigned to do photos for the web as well, have them take at least one class in photography first. As an avid amateur photographer, seeing stuff like this published is disappointing.

I love that you're delivering this content to the web and capturing candid moments; nobody else is. On the whole I really like Macleans' internet content, especially the blogs. But content delivery for the web is no excuse for publishing photos of a quality that would embarrass a high-school newspaper.

  5. The pictures are fabulous. What a handsome couple and joyous bridal party. What an exciting wedding. Very classy. We wish hte newleyweds all happiness and good things in life. Great job Macleans.

  6. There must be more pics…where's the Brides family?

  7. Congrats ti Mark, and his beautiful bride…..

  8. Has Raphael ever taken a photo of a Conservative MP?

    • good question, this is a waste of space

  9. nous avons assister a ce mariage et cela était super quelle belle réception et les mariés etaient tellement beau et heureux. je leur souhaite beaucoup de bonheur ….

  10. Kevin C is the name. Shouldn't he be marrying a man and have a ethnic Mc his wedding to keep with the Liberal Mentality? Wait he did have an ethnic and a queer MC his wedding that's close. Now all he needs is a young offender as an usher and he has all his bases covered.

  11. I knew the bride in university, I think she is NUTS!!! Pretty yes, sane no…no to liberals moving forward.
