What happened in the Washington Wizards’ locker room?

The police are looking into an NBA star’s possession—and possible brandishing—of firearms

The U.S. Attorney’s office and District of Columbia police have opened a joint case into what happened in the locker room of the Washington Wizards NBA team last week. While it was first believed that guard Gilbert Arenas was storing weapons in his locker— claiming he wanted them out of the house after the birth of a new baby—it’s now being reported that Arenas and teammate Javaris Crittenton pulled weapons on each other during a fight over a card-game. Arenas, who could face serious punishment from the state and the league, has denied these rumours.
