  1. And now we have Great Pacific Garbage Patchgate.

  2. And now we have Great Pacific Garbage Patchgate.

  3. So just to be clear: There is a problem and it is fairly serious. It just doesn't fit into an easy visual image.

How nice to keep ignoring it, kinda like climate change.

    • Exactly!

  5. i've heard anyone say it was "an island of garbage". they've said it's the SIZE of an island. and i've never heard anyone say that it's floating tires & refrigators. i've only heard news stores of small pieces of plastic that is floating in the pacific. the fact that the plastic pieces are small is what makes it so dangerous. it's getting into the food chain. small aquatic sea life eat the small pieces of plastic. then the plastic works it's way up the food chain as larger predators eat the small sea life.

this guy's video is just as misleading, if not more, then what he claim's oprah's is.

  8. One more example….the self-proclaimed "saviors" of the environment , have no credibility left. The Suzuki's and Gore's of this world need to tuk in their tails and head for Saudi Arabia and their neighbours, where their environmental concerns are never articulated!
