Ontario’s Tweed Inc. is waiting in the weeds to become the next big thing in the potentially huge marijuana industry

What was once a Hershey’s chocolate factory in Smiths Falls, Ont., is now 150,000 sprawling square feet of Tweed Inc.’s professional marijuana manufacturing. The company, some say, might just be the Molson of a burgeoning market; the Canadian Press reports that Health Canada is buried by the number of requests for licenses to grow marijuana. And with political leaders suggesting legalization may be in the cards, Tweed Inc. may well be setting itself up to be a leader of a major industry with huge growth potential.
