A new survey says Canadians are ready to spend this holiday season. What about you: ready to shop till you drop?

  1. we are going giving gift cards that support local businesses . That way anything we can afford to spend will help the local economy and not Asia . Local restaurants , small , local businesses , movie theaters will benefit .

    • great jdea

        • to a multinational corporation.
That employ local people who in turn pay taxes and spend their money so someone else has a job.

  2. The U.S says it will be a bigger than ever spending season and that it is a sign the economy is improving. What if all that extra spending is done on credit and not hard cash?

    • I’d be willing to bet that 90%, if not more, of the typical christmas spending does directly on a card. Since this directly creates new money (if you understand how the monetary system REALLY works) you can easiy understand why this leads directly to higher inflation, and the long-term results are the devaluation of the currency, and the raising of prices to counteract the effect of the lower-valued dollar.

Christmas is a GREAT time for the international banking cartel…

  3. As usual, the poll is designed to support what the media WANTS US TO THINK.

I can’t think of a single person out there who is “shopping till they drop” this year, nor do I know of anyone who has done so for at least the last five years.

Of course, I’m not a millionnaire, politician, or media mogul with corporate friends to appease…but I hope that not all Canadians keep falling for these deliberately manipulative methods to get you to think that wasting your money is such an incredibly good thing to do…at the worst time of year to do it.

  4. I give money, not gift cards just cash. I hate shopping with a passion. My kids and grand kids all appreciate it. I save all year to splurge on my family
