Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family spent the Easter weekend on Newfoundland and Labrador’s Fogo Island.

The family was spotted en route to the island, 30 kilometres off the coast, though locals offered little insight into their goings-on. “Haven’t seen nobody, haven’t heard tell of anybody who saw anybody,” resident Lloyd Bixby told the CBC.

Maclean’s has described the island of 2,700 people as one of 10 must-see places in Canada. Here’s a glimpse of the island and a peek inside the inn that hosted the Trudeaus:

  1. Only the best for the Dauphin, his consort and entourage. Hope the Inn gave the taxpayers a bit of a discount on the $1500/night/person rate. JT will need another break in a couple of weeks, if he’s to maintain his work/holiday holiday ratio since become PM. Any recommendations?

    • At least he knows where Newfoundland is .
