SAINT JOHN, N.B. – A former Saint John, N.B., city councillor has pleaded guilty to 46 charges including making and possessing child pornography in a case that stunned the city.
The Crown said the charges Donnie Snook pleaded guilty to involve 17 named victims.
Donnie Snook was arrested in January by the RCMP after an investigation that began in 2011 involving the Saint John and Toronto police.
Investigators seized computer equipment and images after carrying out a search warrant at his home.
Snook, who was first elected as a councillor in 2008, later stepped down.
He will return to provincial court on June 25 to set a date for sentencing.
