We’re blushing. Maclean’s has been nominated for 13 Canadian Online Publishing Awards in a dozen categories; that’s a nod in all but three. The nominations for the awards, which recognize digital publishing excellence in Canada, run the gamut, from best news coverage and best video content, to best interactive story and best media website. “It’s a proud day for Maclean’s,” says editor in chief, Mark Stevenson. “It’s a testament to the hard work and creativity of everyone here, particularly the digital team, and we’re gratified that COPA saw fit to honour us with so many nominations.”
This year, we were nominated in the following categories:
- Best Editorial Packaging
- Best News Coverage
- Best Blog or Column, for both Nick Taylor-Vaisey’s QP Live series, and Amanda Shendruk’s Show and Tell infographic series
- Best Article or Series, for Nancy Macdonald’s It Could Have Been Me
- Best Infographic/Data Visualization, for our A-to-Z Encyclopedia of Oil
