Dual bombings targeting the Brussels airport and subway system killed at least 31 people Tuesday morning and injured dozens more. The Islamic State group later claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks.

“What we feared has happened,” Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel told the nation. “In this time of tragedy, this black moment for our country, I appeal to everyone to remain calm but also to show solidarity.”
