The assassination of President John F. Kennedy

  1. Lee Harvey Oswald was a member of the liberal left, and the left has NEVER been able to accept that one of their own was responsible for the death of the president. It was always easier to live in denial, and blame the assassination on a right-wing conspiracy, which simply never existed.

The left always believed Kennedy to be the iconic symbol of the Democrat Party, but this also is simply not true. In reality, JFK was a conservative, who believed in tax cuts, small government and a strong military. He hated communism, and opposed everything the Soviet Union stood for, as he demonstrated in his Berlin speech.

Liberal Democrats are desperate for a legacy, an iconic symbol that represents their party. But, they will have to look elsewhere – JFK clearly belongs to the conservative Republicans. The Democrats will have to look to Barack Obama, and his mounting debt, ever-increasing taxes and failed health-care system for their legacy.
