Two Ukrainian military fighter jets shot down in the east of country

Defence Ministry spokesman Oleksiy Dmitrashkovsky says the planes may have been carrying up to two crew members each.

KYIV, Ukraine — Two Ukrainian military fighter jets have been shot down in the east, according to the country’s Defence Ministry.

The Sukhoi-25 fighters were shot down 1:30 p.m. local time Wednesday over an area called Savur Mogila.

Defence Ministry spokesman Oleksiy Dmitrashkovsky says the planes may have been carrying up to two crew members each.

  1. … roughly 15-20% of the Ukraine is made up of people, Russian/Ukrainians, who have been there for many, many generations, AND, they want to be part of Russia. -so what’s wrong with that?
    Are they just supposed to leave their land. businesss, homes, families,…, just because Ukraine wants to leave?
    They, and “their” land, have just as much right to stay with Russia, as the Ukrainians who want to leave Russia, …of course, there will still be trade,…, but ‘ya know.

    The only way this will be settled is when they “CARVE” and split the Ukraine up, and a small piece of it, with the Pro-Russian Ukrainians, who want to stay within Russia, goes to Russia.

    That’s the only way this dilemma will end.
