The Alberta election was called to coincide with the Duffy trial in order to keep Albertans to focus on local politics instead of the trial because Prentice thought he had this election in the bag and figured he would help his buddies out in Ottawa for payolas in the future. It seems Jim may have miscalculated and may pay a price.
