So the Toronto Stock Exchange falls 840 points in a day. Jack Layton calls for a meeting of the federal leaders. And the Prime Minister’s response is as follows:
1. I’ll see you at the debates.
2. Our fundamentals are sound.
3. Canada is not the United States.
4. The last thing we need right now is a carbon tax.
A reasonable, careful reaction at a time that demands calm? Or a response somewhat lacking in concern and consideration?
