The campaign starts here. Three party leaders faced off at the Maclean’s/Citytv National Leaders Debate tonight—the first debate of Election 2019. Conservative leader Andrew Scheer, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh and Green leader Elizabeth May took the stage. Maclean’s senior writer Paul Wells moderated the clash of ideas.
The debate covered four themes. We’ve got primers for each one: the economy; Indigenous issues; energy and the environment; and foreign policy. Have your say by using the hashtag #firstdebate.
