Everyone’s new favourite punchline

  1. Confucius ~ Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without.

What do you mean ‘new’ fav punch line? Clement has always been an asshat, nothing new today. And the rest of our Lib msm is just making their normal snarky comments about people who have achieved significantly more in life than them.

You mean Eastwood? I mean, I can see how clearly it was unfair of the RNC to send an 82 year old man up on stage at such a pivotal moment, apparently unscripted, to do an odd sort of performance piece at a political convention, but COME ON. That “performance” was BEGGING for snark, and being snarky about it is hardly a partisan issue. I’m sure the vast majority of conservative Republicans would be snarky about it too if they weren’t preoccupied with being mortified.

Eastwood is a legend deserving of great praise an accolades regardless, but that was a TRAIN WRECK, and I don’t see anything particularly wrong with the media saying, essentially, “OMG! Did you see that train wreck?!?!?”

      • Clint was doing his extremely condensed version, improvised of Lear, and Hamlet, at the same time. It was bold and uneven and memorable.

        • So…uh…I’ve got Mr. Wordsalad sitting here in this chair and uh…I was just going to ask him a few questions…uh…I remember the first time Mr. Wordsalad compared Clint’s performance to Shakespeare I laughed so hard I cried and uh… whatever interests you have are not strong enough…so uh Mr. Wordsalad don’t you…uh so uh….so don’t you think…uh… well it’s something to be thought about….don’t you think it’s time you…uh…stopped…pretending Clint’s performance was anything but an embarrassing joke?
What do you mean “shut up?” Uh, but, so uh….I can’t do that to myself. I think that when we get to uh…maybe uh…uh…uh…you mentioned something about…incoherent mumbling…..

      • Watch your smart mouth mister, or you’ll get a PJ O-Rourke quote.

    • I’ve no doubt that Clement’s an asshat, but being an asshat doesn’t mean he can’t ever be funny. And that’s funny.

      • True, it was funny, but I think Clement’s avoidance was prudence on his part. In any contest pitting Clement against a piece of furniture, odds would favour the furniture, that much he appears to know.
