For Mumbai news…

  1. Michael and Phillipe

I am eagerly reading your updates. Keep them coming.

I find it interesting that WW III might be starting half way around the world. with little comment, while we insular Canadians debate whether the proposed elimination of a $1.95 subsidy is akin to totalitarianism.

  2. jwl: that’s the most absurd thing I’ve heard all day.

Something really significant is happening on the other side of the world, so we shouldn’t debate a policy proposal in Canada?

Also, I’ve been following the campaign finance discussion – it’s a gross distortion for you to claim its opponents are calling it “totalitarianism”.

  3. jwl is rightly concerned. Pakistan and India have always been on the verge of war to one degree or another. If it’s proven that the attackers were from Pakistan, watch out.

We will have to wait for the dust to settle before we know what the facts are.

  4. Of course he’s right to be concerned. But to argue that it preempts conversations around the world is absurd. And to use the opportunity to take a cheap shot is… well, exactly what I’ve come to expect, frankly.

  5. TJ Cook

I didn’t write anything about not debating topics, I just find it interesting what we choose to get all hot and bothered about.

  6. Hot and bothered? We’re on total standby on Mumbai and there’s no controversy there.

Aside from asking my secretary about her family in Mumbai, there’s just not much to talk about. What’s “interesting” about that? What do you feel it reveals?
