How much do you know about the person you sent to the House of Commons on May 2, 2011? Do you know how old (or young) they are, where they’re from, or what they did for a living before they ran for office? If you do know those things, well, good. If you don’t, we have an interactive way for you to find out. Click the links below to take you to four maps that visualize the age, hometowns and prior occupations of our MPs. That third map, “Migration”, tells you if your MP was born in your riding, beside your riding, or somewhere further afield.

All the data behind these maps comes from MPs’ biographies on the Parliament of Canada‘s website.
